About this Entry
Raz: Tempt Me
Mar. 7th, 2004 @ 01:35 pm These are the rules:
1.) This is my journal. Since it is friend's only, it is your privilege, not right, to be here. It is only by my command that you are allowed to view my inner thoughts, and any freaky ass shit I write about. As this is your privilege, it is subject to revocation at any time, without notice, if I deem you should not longer be privileged to read my journal. This is a safeguard for me. This is to protect me.

2.) My journal is about me! That's right. Mememememememe. Please remember that. I post what I want, not what you want to hear. Everything I post is my opinion. And it is not subject to debate. If I want your thoughts and opinions, I will ask. Otherwise, comments are nice (because I love attention). But this is not the place to challenge me about my opinion. As my journal is not open, neither are my opinions. Some may think this makes me closed minded, but again I see this as a way of protecting myself. I have some opinions that piss off people, and this is my safe haven in which to express those opinions. If I wanted debate, I would go to debate.

3.) You are not obligated to read everything I write. If I am about to post something that may upset people, I will try to remember to put it behind a cut, SO YOU CAN CHOOSE OF YOUR OWN FREE WILL if you want to read it. I am not forcing you to read it, so don't whine at me if you read it and don't like it. It's your choice if you want to have a peek at some of my darker thoughts. Keep this in mind, please.

4.) Just because you are on my friend's list does not mean I am obligated to read all of your posts. I can't, and I won't. I don't have the time or the inclination to read hundreds of posts a day from all of my friends. If you consider it truly important for me to know something about you, then there are ways of getting in touch with me. Yahoo! Messenger is one of them. E-mail is another of them. Posting to my journal is another of them. So don't get pissed off if I don't remember that your cat died 4 months ago by getting hit by a Wal*Mart truck on I85 at 5:45am on a Saturday morning. I just cannot, and will not, retain that kind of information. I will try my best, but don't assume I know everything about you.

5.) On the same token, I don't expect you to know everything about me. I will not expect you to remember something that happened to me two years ago that only made it into my journal by some obscure 4 word sentence. If I ask you about said subject, and you don't remember, then I will remind you. I won't get pissed off at you for not knowing.

6.) Let my re-iterate. It is your choice to read anything in my journal. Just because I add you does not mean you have to read anything. You can ignore me if you want to. IT IS YOUR CHOICE.

7.) Sometimes I will make an entry without comments. This is because I do not feel that the entry warrants discussion. DO NOT GO TO ANOTHER OF MY POSTS AND WHINE ABOUT THE COMMENTS OF ONE POST BEING TURNED OFF. If I don't want to discus it, I don't want to discus it, end of story.

Any questions?
